Traffic bug by Michael Roberts is a service that automated much of your basic, necessary site promotions regarding the SEO side of things.

It submits your sites’ RSS feeds for you automatically, to 12 or 36 RSS aggregator sites.

It auto-creates social bookmarking accounts for you

Then it does automated social bookmarking for you to about 20 different social bookmarking accounts set up in your name

Traffic Bug also submits your sites to a score of directories and search engines…

This is a fantastic time-saving mechanism for the webmasters who don’t have the time to do all these tasks themselves, but there are some limitations to this service.

While Traffic Bug does save you a lot of time from doing all those time-consuming basic SEO duties, what exactly is the SEO value of the service they’re providing?

What value is there to doing search engine and directory submissions?

Are there any real expected benefits from having your RSS feeds submitted to 12, then maybe 36 RSS aggregators?

MLM Lead System Pro Review is a post from: Internet Marketing Strategies +Tips From Daniel McGonagle

I joined MLM Lead System Pro because they promised customized branding pages for my network marketing business and my team members.

So right off the bat I was impressed just for the very nature of what they were offering. They weren’t offering rehashed and bashed “leads” but the chance to do what 95% of all network marketers don’t do: brand themselves and do it with video landing pages and video squeeze pages.

Also, this isn’t some nonsensical “funded proposal” whereby you’re building the list of the company itself instead of your own. You build your own list with their system and the only people who end up on MLM Lead system Pro’s list are the people who join and use their service.

However, MLM Lead system Pro doesn’t really do what I thought it was going to do for me or my team.

Since I’m not a huge fan of making video squeeze and video landing pages due to technical aspects more than vanity and self -consciousness reasons, I was hoping that MLSP would help me do what they promised to do: brand myself with their widely advertised “custom branding pages”…

MLSP doesn’t really brand you as a leader though and doesn’t give you any customized landing pages, squeeze pages or anything that brands you, period.

NOTE: MLSP will tell you that the branding comes into play when people see that you’re giving them good information via MLSP’s emails and having someone else’s face and image talking on your “customized pages… Nah, don’t BS me here, this isn’t branding of me, it’s branding of Norbert and MLSP.

The only way to brand yourself is to have other promoting you and your se4rvices and products like all of Norbert’s affiliates are doing at MLM LEad System Pro.

MLSP does help you build your list with nice video landing pages and video landing pages.

MLSP does give you 28 or so follow-up messages that help sell the MLSP system to you while also directing your subscribers to some conference calls about network marketing and what-not….

MLSP gives you every single tool you could every want to promote….MLSP.

There are NO resources for making a custom branding page to truly brand yourself.

There are some ridiculous high-ticket upsells that you, the referring affiliate who brought people into MLSP do not get a commission of.

Also, the membership program doesn’t offer you a good chunk of their monthly fee, and you cannot be an affiliate of MLSP without being a paid member, which means it’s really not an affiliate program, just more of a “got you by the balls here” program.

Their training is good and their overall methodology works well, for a funded proposal that makes you money form the 95% of the people who will never join your primary program, but would join MLSP in higher percentages and line your pockets with membership commissions and commission for the affiliate programs recommended to your signups from their back office

MLM Lead System Pro’s training is VERY VERY good and is given on an ongoing basis which means it’s worth it for the $47.00/month…

NOTE: If you join MLSP don’t get the PPC software since I heard it was outdated, and you can contact me if you want to save well over $1,000.00 on their outsourcing system offering from their crew in the Philipines.

If/when you join, realize that the affiliate commission percentages are paltry, you don’t get any cut of the upsells mentioned above, and this system doesn’t help brand yourself in this industry except as an affiliate of MLSP.

Furthermore, this is a FANTASTIC money-making program to be in because of the back-end self-funded proposal they have set up for everyone who joins MLSP via your affiliate link.

So, my review on MLM Lead system Pro is mixed because of false advertising but it has a lot of back end stuff that will definitely help you in the long run, like monetizing your lists more, and ongoing training.

Unique Article Wizard is highly recommended but you should know why I recommend it so highly.

I have seen only a few membership sites and sales pages that are totally empathetic and seemingly full of concern for the members. I just want to point that out because it’s a tell-tale sign of a great service when they’re obviously totally devoted to making the best system and service possible for people.

Does Unique Article Wizard Work for getting backlinks?

Uhm, yeah (understated)…

You will generate and get thousands of backlinks because you’re submitting your articles to 100s and sometimes even 1000s of directories.

Not all directories accept your articles but the acceptance rate is pretty high. When you use Unique Article Wizard and submit one of your articles to its system, you will be told how many directories your article is being submitted to, and what submissions rate you should use (20/day, 50/day etc..)

You get hundreds of backlinks per article and that leads to thousands of backlinks, and eventually that leads to higher rankings.

EZA provides a link at the top righ tof their articles that says, Ezine Publisher, and i fyou click that link you get 2 options for republishing that article on your site(legally)

Well, Unique Article Wizard (UAW) has options like that as part of their system, too. Here’s how that would work:

• You write an article
• It gets sent to hundreds of directories
• A stray visitor to one of those directories sees your article and wants to re-publish it on their site and they’re presented with the option to do so.
• That person re-published one of the versions of your article and spreads your linkbuilding base even more.
• This is viral linkbuilding and article promotion at it’s best

Not only does UAW give you widespread article syndication by your inital submissions, but it also can possibly give your articles a life of their own via the aforementioned viral article distribution methods.

If you’re looking for an internet marketing course to take, I assume you’re looking for a college-level class or just for a complete guide to internet marketing to help you quit your day job.

Here’s why I think taking or buying an internet marketing course is a waste of time.

The internet changes quickly but the basics of marketing never change.

Therefore all you need to know is:

• how money is made online (by selling goods or services)
• how to sell/market to your audience (give them what they want to buy)
• how to build a profitable business ( build more sites that are profitable)

So those right there are the basic fundamentals you need to know about marketing on the internet…

However, your typical marketing courses only cover these basics and don’t cover the ever-changing aspects to the media known as the internet.

1. Some products don’t sell as well as they used to…
2. Some selling methods don’t work so well anymore…
3. Some traffic generation methods don’t work so well any more
4. Some copy writing trends are happening daily

Do static items like internet marketing courses have the ability to keep you apprised of all these changes?

Not really, and that’s why I highly recommend that you

• get the fundamentals down pat prior to learning for yourself exactly what’s working right now for all those aforementioned items
• just keep your nose to the grindstone
• become a true internet marketing warrior who is “doing it” every day in the trenches,
• no theorizing or philosophizing about it by reading, listening, or watching an outdated internet marketing course.

Your run-of-the-mill person doesn’t have an internet marketing strategy, all they know if they want financial freedom and/or replace their current income with a work-from home job.

But if you’re an offline business, then you have to consider your ROI for developing an online presence, not just think about dreams of financial independence.

Developing your own marketing plan is crucial to your success, but there’s a catch-22 element to that because you need some sort of plan in order to success but you also need to know what you want to do, what you’re good at, what you’ll stick with etc… before implementing a marketing plan.

If you’re looking for some kind of internet marketing strategy, here’s the best advice that I could give you.

1. Learn to write
2. Be consistent
3. Give a lot of yourself to your clients

Learning to write – There’s no way around this folks! (kind of )

Creating site content, blog posts, articles for article marketing, responding to customer tickets, writing sales copy, write emails, and so on…

You can avoid writing altogether if you hire content writers and copywriters if you have the budget for that.

Be consistent- This is so important.

With internet marketing it’s really difficult to find out where the majority of your profits are going to come from.  If you’ve ever hear dof the 80/20 rule, you know that 80% of your profits will come form 20% of the work you produce.  Therefore you need to be consistent in your internet marketing efforts because yo unever know when one of those little actions you do every day (like adding site content) will pay bigger dividneds for you than you tohught it would when you first performed those actions.

For example, a client of mine wrote a blog post about a kiwi bird on her birdwatching bincoulars site that gets a lot more traffic than she would have expected.

Another example would be a revie wI wrote on the Conduit method ebook.  The review was pretty straightforward and honest and since it wasn’t th eusual glowing review form someone trying to make a sale, the reader saw me a legit, joined my mailing list, then decided to be one of my Marketer’s Relief members.

You can’t really predict that everything you do will have some sor tof desired effect when you work on your business, which is why consitency is needed here.

Be consistent with your efforts and you’ll see more and more surprises.  A lot of webmasters I know say that some of their oldest blogs posts are the ones bringing in a surprising amount of traffic  to this day.

Give a lot of yourself to your clients- Be available

I’m a big fan of this even for non-paying subscribers because a lot of subscribers who are on your mailing list seeking your advice only see you as an email address sending them information and recommendations on stuff to buy.

Give them your Instant Messaging IDs, allow them to contact you, and if your information is any good, they’ll realize that you’re a busy person and might only pop on to instant messaging to say Hi and that’s it.

They may never bug you or take a lot of your time.

You might be the onl yperson who’s ever given their Skype ID, AIM ID, AOL, MSN YAHOO Ids etc…

This part of your strategy will help you rise above thoe noise comingfrom their inboxes.

Also, be available via your websites, too.  check for visitors leaving comments and repsond to every single one of them even if the comment doesn’t require a reply.

When replying to comments, I feel like it’s best to “keep it real” by responding in polite but honest terms.  Sometime speople who are angry at the world will leave negative comments on your blog calling you a snake oil salesman because you’re actually recommendaing that they buy a product.

You can’t vhange these people’s minds (failure’s never their fault) so respond like a PERSON here, not a businessperson.  Tell them exactly how you feel because you cannot back down from product recommendations if they’re good products and you can’t let people try to take you down a notch by leaving comments like that.

But always allow the negative comments to be approved and published as this is good for debate and ecnourages conversation.

Point being, you want to make yourslef available and this is part of giving of  yourself to your paying clients and the non-paying subscribers.

When you’re first starting out with your internet marketing business you need to do things that make you stand out from every other “widget-seller” out there.

If you’re looking for internet marketing news there are a few ways you can go about getting the updates you need for your internet marketing business.

However, like anything else, you want to pinpoint the type of news that you want.

For example, if you’re looking for general internet marketing news, what is it you want to stay updated on, new products, product launches, new internet marketing trends, or something more targeted like what’s working right now for search engine optimization practices?

For up to date information on new product releases and even some free reports, you can get your internet marketing news from places like imnewswatch.com or you can get snail mail newsletters.

If you’re into copywriting and tweaking your conversions you should check out Jacob Nielsen’s alert box newsletter, which is straight-up geek-talk and is all about web conversions with hardly any monetization going on with the newsletter itself.

If you want pre-release notice of product launches there are several places that give you access to that information for free.

Sometimes you will even find yourself getting snail mail but these are usually not content-rich magazines, just fluff articles and full of promotions.

I was talking to an internet marketing buddy of mine on Skype the other day and we were discussing how we can really, I mean really.. help people with their internet marketing businesses.

The idea Stu and I had was to develop a site that helps people find out sooner rather than later, what internet marketing strategies and business models will work for them.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of ways to make money online but there are only a few business models that one can follow.

For example some business models are making content sites for Adsense, selling digital products, selling products on ebay, offering a service such as writing, link building, site building, or even graphics design.

If you’re not going to be a service provider then your strategies for making money on the internet will be selling your own products, selling someone else’s products asa niche affiliate marketer, or a hybrid of the two; selling your products and someone else’s too.

If you’re going to be selling anything at all on the Internet, your strategies are basically limited to the niches you’re targeting.

Are you going to drive traffic via Pay Per click paid advertising, or get ranked highly via search engine optimization techniques, or both.

There are a lot of internet marketing strategies you can employ to start making money right away.

The quickest and easiest way to make money online is to provide a service, but it is also the most aggravating because you still only have a job, and there will always be the added hassle of dealing with clients.

There’s a ton of internet marketing info on just about every subject you can think of.

However, getting info about internet marketing from true experts is tough to do because internet marketing and the home business opportunities niche is one where a lot of people are “faking it until they make it”…

Many people are passing themselves off as experts knowledgeable in the fields on which they’re writing which begs the question,

“if your ebook can help me make $192,168.32 per month why are you trying to sell it to me for 10 bucks?”

That’s where people either fall for the hyped-up internet marketing info being presented to them or just become cynical.

It’s OK to be wary, but never be cynical because that mindset will make you overlook some gems of internet marketing info that could really help you if you opted to get that free product or even the paid ones.

There’s plenty of places to get quality internet marketing info, and here’s the order that I see the quality of this type of information being delivered.

#1 – from experts who have succeeded already and just sharing their tips.

However, some experts are so advanced they don’t know how to properly teach their methods to others which leads to frustration.  Good information comes from good sources who also know how to get their points across to the newbie or common generic internet marketer.

#2 0 from marketing forums where people are freely sharing tips.

Just be aware that many people are trying to manipulate the conversation and even some fallacious comments to reinforce what they’re selling.  Remember that everyone’s opinions are based on personal experiences and even frustrations, and your best guide is your personal experiences.

#3 – from paid products you buy that deliver as advertised.

If you buy a product on automated list building and if it is a quality product, then you have your hands on some quality internet marketing info that will help you.

There’s a new link building/traffic generation service out called My Article Network and here’s my preliminary My Article Network review.

I have a website where I review link building services such as My Article Network, and one of the main keywords that I’m trying to rank well for isd the term “link building services” (without the quotes.

When I started using My Article Network, my site was ranking on Page 7 at the time, then it climbed up to page 4 in a few days, and now it is at the very top of page 2 for that term.

Does this mean I recommend  My Article Network?

No, because I need more time to test it out using different keywords for different sites, and to vary the difficulty factors involved so I can accurately measure just how powerful this service is.

I’m not sure if I should reveal this secret to you about internet marketing articles but here goes:

Most articles about internet marketing have 2 purposes, to get you to click on something to join a list or to buy something.  However, there’s also a third kind of article in the internet marketing world and this kind is the best kind of internet marketing article you will find anywhere.

The first 2 kinds of articles are the ones most commonly seen published in article directories and if you know anything about article marketing, then you know that these aren’t life-changing articles, but merely “teasers” to whet your apetite and to click on a link somewhere for more information.

A properly written article will get you interested in the subject matter, but leaving you wanting more, and if you really want to know more, you’ll most likely see a link somewhere, which, when clicked on, will send you to a landing page trying to sell you something or it is a squeeze page gathering up your email address.

Many times you’ll see great article son these sites because that is their product and many times the great content you see on these sites is something you’d pay for if/when you buy internet marketing products.

The longer you are involved in internet marketing, the less you will spend on internet marketing ebooks, and membership sites because you’ll eventually come across these great bloggers, their blogs, and their great content, and realize that you don’t need to buy much of anything anymore because the great content you’re looking for is there for the reading and always free.

They say that everything you need to know to start a successful internet marketing business is available somewhere for free on th einternet, but the downside to that is people don’t appreciate or respect free information as much as products they pay for.

Also, if you’re on mailing lists, sometimes the solutions for your concerns are easily obtained by buying recommended products from the person who emailed you.

Buying paid for products is the quickest way to get your hands on top quality internet marketing information, and sometimes it’s better to go this orute if you don’t want to scour the internet looking for those top bloggers with great content.

So, those are the 3 kinds of internet marketing articles you will come across on the internet and how you treat them and use them depends on where you are at with your business right now.

Internet Marketing Research is comprised on 3 basic tenets.

1. Is there a demand?
2. What is the profitability factor of this demand?
3. Can this demand be satisfied properly by the company?

The first tenet of internet marketing research should answer the question: Is there a demand?

When researching a niche or research the internet media for clues on the potential demand for something, the most basic method used first is keyword research.

Keyword research will reveal the numbers (volume) of people who are searching for something, and what they are searching for.

Another way to determine the demand for a certain niche product or service you want to offer is by looking at the offline presence and demand for certain items.

For example, if stores are keeping in stock certain items, and/or prominently displaying them at the end of the store aisles, then there’s a demand for those items.

However, offline demand doesn’t always translate in online demand, therefore this method doesn’t exactly qualify as an internet marketing research method, but it does have value and it does usually reflect in some way an online demand.

The second tenet of internet marketing research should answer the question:  What is the profitability factor of this demand?

Once a demand has been established, the next question should be whether or not there’s money to be made in this niche…

How does one find out the profitability of a niche before getting started with it?

2 ways to do this are:

1. Use your head…
2. Google

1- Are we trying to see if people are spending money in a niche about Luxury Fashion Items? If so, then there’s really no question here, because it’s obvious that people buying luxury items online would prove to be a profitable niche to be involved in.

2- Google.  Google is a search engine that sells advertising space in its results displayed pages, and people are paying to advertise in these sidebar areas.  Since the advertisers are paying for this traffic,it’s commonly referred to as PPC, or Pay Per Click marketing.

Point being?  If your keyword research shows that there’s a lot of searches for your potential solution, and common sense isn’t giving you obvious answers about the profitability of the niche, then all you have to do is look to see if there are any advertisers spending money on those keywords that are related to your site, or potential site.

If there are advertisers spending money on those words (keywords) then there’s money in that niche, and the higher the CPC (Cost Per Click) the more profit can be gleaned from getting traffic for those keywords.

So use Google and common sense as  internet marketing research methods to determine the profitability of a niche before entering into it.

The third tenet of internet marketing research should answer the question:  Can this demand be satisfied properly by the company?

This is where the rubber meets the road, as the expression goes… It’s all well and good to know there’s a demand, and that the demand is showing great potential financially, but can you deliver the goods?

Do you have the ability to sell to this niche, do you have a good way of offering a solution?

If you find a good profitable niche, then only thing left for you do now is to address and meet the niche’s needs.

Video marketing is merely the promotion of your videos to get in front of as many eyeballs and eardrums as possible, and hopefully the eyes and ears that see your videos are ones that convert into sales for you.

However, it should be known that not all niche markets are good for video marketing, and what I mean by that is… some niches just don’t have their target audience searching on YouTube for information on what you might have to offer as a solution to their problem.

For example: If I had a medical problem I wouldn’t be searching for a solution for it on YouTube and would be typing in various searches on the search engines to eventually find a possible solution.

So, there’s not always going to be a high conversion rate from your videos, no matter how many videos you make and no matter how many “hits” your video gets.

The plus-side to internet video marketing is this:

A lof of videos are now claiming Page 1 rankings in search engines like Google, so it can be an easy way to get highly-ranked without going to a lot of effor tin your search engine optimization.

However, video marketing can be good for your SEO efforts, because many people will embed your video on their websites, which draws more attention to your video, and hopefully, more attention to your product.

If you focus on macro-niches, then focus on sub-niches of the macro-niches and createa network of blogs to start corralling the traffic and rankings for that macro-niche.

To research a niche, there’s really not much to do excetp to look aorund offline magazine racks, then open the magazines to see what is being written about and wha tis being advertised for from within the magazines.

FEED THE HUNGRY MARKET:

What should you feed the hungry market?  Well, remember those advertisers in the magazines?  When you see what they’re advertising, you know what the market/niche/target audience wants, so there’s your answer.

How to feed the market?

Attract your target audinece to your web prsences via traffic generation, high-rankings, and social marketing methods.

In other words, put your sites in front of as many targeted “eyeballs” as possible.

Now, the clincher here is to feed the Market better than anyone else, and once you do that and implement that, you will achieve internet marketing success

People fail but systems work, ever hear that expression?

Well, one thing many people never consider doing nor actually ever implement is an internet marketing system.

What is an internet marketing system?

It’s a system whereby you draw in potential clients and customers and offer them a variety of products you constantly recommend via autoresponders.

To break this down into the minutiae of the internet marketing system, you need:

1. Products to sell whether they be your own or affiliate links
2. A way to get traffic to your affiliates links or to your own product pages via email marketing messages, or direct marketing style sale smade directly from your sites by first-time visitors.
3. Follow up system with your clients
4. And before all that is started you need to figure out what your marketing sales funnel is, if anything

Your internet marketing system needn’t be anything fancy either.

The most common “sales funnel” people employ is simply to get people on their list to sell them stuff, which is short-sighted at best.

Personally, I’ve sat on ready-to-be-released products because there wasn’t a good back-end upsell in place, and I don’t settle for simple one-time sales of related products as the upsell, either.

But I don’t want to confuse you or anything so let me just say that your marketing system needs to attract and keep clients, and the more advanced your internet marketing system is, the more likely you’ll be to see automatic, auto-pilot profits like so many marketers brag about.

The reason why this article started with the phrase,  “People fail but systems work”,  is because a system is a variety of automated tactics that will perform like your marketing sherpas while you’re off doing.

Also, once you tap into a company marketing system where the lead generation, support and follow up are handled for you, that leaves you with only one thing to do, and that’s to get clicks on your affiliate links

Local Internet Marketing has been all the rage lately amongst the MMO crowd (Make Money Online).

Local Internet Marketing, or LIM, is basically using the internet for marketing local businesses, and there are several basic steps that should always be taken when targeting specific geographical areas for Google Search.

Google wants you on Page 1, if you’re paying for it… therefore they provides several options for you to use to get your sites on page 1 of Google, and other search engines, to if you advertise via PPC (PayPerclick) on them.

Normally, local internet marketing means getting your business listed with thousands of others in a Yellow Pages, or local business directory.

But that doesn’t make your business stand out for the others, and people reading the directories when search for a local business to research/pay/use etc… sure won’t be going through thousands of listings.

Therefore, when using local internet marketing tactics, you want people from your local area to see your business listing/ad when they search for a generic term like acupuncture or acupuncture treatment.

I have an acupuncture treatment site and once in a while I will search for some of the main keywords that the site is optimized for.  So when I go to Google and type in terms such as “acupuncture treatment”,  “acupuncture treatments”, “acupuncture for ivf” etc…) I will see something that is rather mind-blowing.

When I do these searches, I will see ads on the far right of the results column where the PPC (Pay Per Click) ads are displayed and they’re all saying, : “Acupuncture Specialist Boston, MA.

This means that somehow or another, my Internet Web Browser (Firefox and Internet Explorer, and the search engine I’m using (Google) know where I’m located by the IP address of my computer.

The people who are using this method for geo-targeting in their PPC campaigns are practicing local internet marketing the right way, however, there’s more to local internet marketing than just using geo-targeted PPC campaigns, because PPC is just one internet marketing method you can use for traffic generation.

There are also some SEO (search engine optimization) aspects that need to be considered when using local internet marketing to expand your offline business brand

To start an internet business marketing products on the Internet, there are several paths you can go down and if you’re like I was in college, you will switch “majors” a few times until you finally find the one thing you know you want to do, and by that I mean, finding the right business model for you.

However, if you’re looking for internet marketing businesses that specialize in marketing your offline business, but on th eInternet, I have a few suggestions for you:

Most firms have offices and pay rent for their offices, salaries and benefits to their employees and have a lot of overhead, therefore they’re not going to provide internet marketing for your businesses at a reasonable cost.

With that said, I highly recommend you shop around and use an arbitrage system you develop to develop a hybrids of various services and outsourcing staff to get what you what done for a fraction of the price you’d pay the internet marketing businesses specializing in building and promoting your brand.

However, if you’re interested in internet marketing businesses for yourself as a sole proprietor, then there are plenty of ways to go about getting started:

As was mentioned previously in this post, you may end up kissing a lot of frogs, or switching majors, or testing and trying out different business models before you wind up doing something you like and earning an income from it.

If you’re interested in using internet marketing for your small business, you’re already one step ahead of your competition because the vast majority of small businesses are using the internet medium to increase their brand and business.

The Mom-and-Pop pizza shop may not think they need to advertise, and usually think that their will will subsit nicely on just the walk-in traffic alone, but what if someone searched the Internet looking for a pizza shop or Chinese food, or Indian food?

Does the person whose business doesn’t “exist” on the Internet Yellow pages get that sale?

So how does a small business utlize internet marketing for their offline business?

Get listed in Google local business listing and local Search is the first place to start.  Getting listed in business directories and being include din Google Local Search is easy, especially for small businesses that are targeting local clientele. 

Another way for a small business to utilize internet marketing to its advantage is to create loyalty and establish their brand more.  If you create a website called Mom-and-Pops pizza Shop.com and people go there and see your hours of business, your menu, and some backgorund information on Mom and Pop, the relationship has begun!

And business-building and expansion is all about building relationship with your current and potential clients.

Another way for this type of small business to utilize internet marketing (still using the example of a local pizza shop) is to encourage additional streams of revenue such as a catering service, perhaps.

If there was an order form on the pizzashop.com website and people saw the menu, the owener’s backgorund, AND some options for catering, then not only would the site visitor be interested in just “getting a slice” but since the site and shop offers catering, they might head on down to check the place out at the very least.

There are several types of marketing forums and like anything else you set out to do, I caution you to spend your time wisely.

• Don’t spend time trolling the forums looking for and taking advice from other people looking for advice
• Don’t spend time trying posting useless comments to threads trying to bolster your post ocunt, spend time working on and in your business instead.
• Don’t take ANYONE’S advice as pure solid gold advice because what works for other people won’t always work for you. The best advice and counsel to take is your own and the ONLY thing you can take to the bank is what you learned from your own experiences.
• Also, remember you’re in the lion’s den in any internet marketing forum because you’ll be hanging with internet marketers, the majority of whom have something to sell and are actively selling via via Special Offer sections and their signature files.

Some forums won’t allow for signature files at all or links posted to your own personal sites.

The four major forums for internet marketing are:

Warrior Forum - it’s self-policed, and the community is pretty good for an active forum with a lot of activity. Beware of the Warrior Special Offers part of the forum, as you will blow a lot of money there on products and as you’ll be able to see on the forum itself 9via the people viewing statistics), there are more people on the “buying” section of the forum than any other part of the forum, which shows you that people are more interested in buying the latest “secret” tactic, strategy/money-making product instead of seeking the internet marketing information they need right now that will help them work on their business.

Digital Point forum - I sometimes think this is where the castaways from the Warrior forum hang out. My limited experience in this forum has shown me that it’s replete with scammers, especially in the Sites For Sale section. You also get promotional emails sent to your Private Message box once in a while which is  lame!

IM4Newbies- This is a good forum, and there’s a guy running it named Mike Mertz who is also a JV broker so it’s definitely a good place to hang out and possibly get a product launched quickly. I’ve never stopped by there but I’ve heard only good things.

Andrew Blake’s forum - this is kind of a heavy-hitters forum where “advanced marketers” are hanging out and talking about stuff other than the usual newbie complaint of “how do I get started?”… There’s a lot of “Warriors” (Warrior forum members) there as well.

The NEW Warrior forum allows you to have personal blogs which are great for SEO purposes and a good place to share a tip not only with Warrior forum members, but with the world as well.

If you’re searching for an internet marketing forum, please have a reason for doing so.

There are also black-hat SOE forums, SEO forums, Webmaster forums, PPC forums, forums for writers and so on and so forth… Of those I can’t tell you much because I don’t frequent forums much any longer because they can be huge time-wasters if you’re not careful

There are more and more people coming online every day that want to learn internet marketing. Perhaps you’re one of them?

Well, you can learn internet marketing the easy way or the hard way are these “ways” are outlined below:

Easy ways to achieve something with internet marketing:

• Be realistic, set realistic goals, “shoot level”…
• Know that the get-rich-quick ebooks are only useful for the people selling the get-rich-quick ebooks
• Adapt a long-term-strategy/outlook towards your business
• Develop a marketing plan
• Conduct market research
• Never settle for temporary results
• KNOW FOR A FACT THAT the only source of knowledge you can truly trust is what you’ve experiencds by making your own “footprints in cyberspace”

Sure-fire ways to fail to achieve something with your internet marketing business:

• Don’t think like a business-owner, keep your employee mentality intact so you keep acting like a consumer instead of a producer (would you rather be buying or selling things?)
• Reading emails all the time is a sure-fire way to get nowhere fast and a trap that’s hard to get out of…
• Not taking action on anything due to fear of technology, failure or “what the first step is”.  The first step IS taking action!
• Spending a lot of time in forums when you could be working on traffic generation, site-building, and product creation
• Spending too much time on email, instant messaging programs
• It will also be hard to truly learn internet marketing unless you site down away form the computer once in a while and give some thought to your marketing plans and business structure

In my humble opinion, the best way to learn internet marketing is to find out what your strengths are, where your interests lie, and to play to your strengths and interests at first until you can expand outwards and overcome the learning curve that comes with learning and adapting new internet marketing methods

There’s a TON of internet marketing information out there, much of it erroneous and untested, much of it passed down as “conventional wisdom” and many times coming from internet marketing “gurus”…

If you’re looking for internet marketing information, there’s no shortage of it, and the one thing I’d like to caution people looking for more information on internet marketing is this:

Compare the quality of content you get from ..say… The Library Of Congress versus the accuracy and quality of information found on the Internet… which do you think is more reliable, and which would you depend on when you absolutely positively needed to know what you were talking about or doing?

All the internet marketing information you need is available for free on the Internet, but

… the downside to this is it would take years to find the good sources of reliable information.  There’s a lot of bloggers marketing to other marketers and giving away solid information for free on their blogs, especially if they’ve specialized in a certain area of marketing (like blogging).

Correction: almost all of the information you need is readily available for free except in the cases whereby you are searching for ultra-specific information that doesn’t have a lot of internet marketing experts dishing out advice on for free.

If you want to know how to get started with online marketing, there’s plenty of free information on that, but if you need more specific internet marketing help then you have to buy an ebook and get on a newsletter form someone professing to be an expert on a given topic (such as blogging, copy writing, SEO, conversions, PPC marketing etc…)

So please keep in mind that the information you see is only as good as the source providing it and not all preceived internet marketing experts are really experts…

There are plenty of Internet Marketing Opportunities available right now, tomorrow, yesterday etc…

One thing that I’d like to say in keeping with my tradition of interspersing some internet marketing advice in with informative articles is this:

If you’re looking to earn an income from the internet, at some point you’ll have to become a business-builder and not an internet marketing opportunities-seeker.

Here’s a category of the types of income opportunities available via internet marketing:

Work-for-pay opportunities - where you get paid for doing work like in a PTC (paid-to-click) service, or by taking surveys, being a web-designer, link-building service, an SEO consulatant, and more…

This constitutes a job, basically, and there’s no real business behind it because stop getting paid once the work is done.

Marketing opportunities - I believe this is what most people are thinking of when they type this phrase into a search engine query tool.

Marketing opportunities are plentiful since this is the internet and many companies run affiliate programs to achieve a consistent business growth and expansion.  The opportunity presented here for you is to be an affiliate of some company and sell their products for pay.

This, too, is like a work-for-pay opportunity as described above but it is 100% performance-based (you make sales…>>> you get paid)

So, the two types of internet marketing opportunities can be broken down into work-for pay opportunities and marketing opportunities.

Just remember that if your goal is to start an internet business, then you need to be less opportunistic and spend more time thinking about business-building.

There’s a difference between Internet Marketing Advice and Internet Marketing Help

Internet Marketing Advice falls more along the lines of coaching. mentoring, sales page re-writes by copywriters, product launch specialists, and more. While that may seem like help to you, it’s really more like advice.

Let me explain why I’m splitting hairs with these word-game semantics:

Internet Marketing Advice is a higher-level version of just getting help.  Getting help usually means people need assistance installing scripts, setting up websites, making a squeeze page, all of the little mechanics things that aren’t really focusing on the big picture internet marketing “stuff”.

What’s “big-picture internet marketing stuff”?

Business-planning, branding yourself and your business, starting a link-building or SEO campaign, releasing a new product, getting JV partners, establishing a marketing plan, and so on…

As I mentioned in a previous post on the various places to get internet marketing help the help you get is only as good as the source and you need to take that into consideration.

For example:

Why would you take the advice of people trolling internet marketing forums all day when they’re supposed to be working on their businesses?

Confession:

I was diagnosed with A.D.H.D.  have been receiving prescribed medication for it for about 4 months now (at the time of this writing).  Prior to getting some much-needed medical assistance for my unproductive behavior at times, I spent a lot of time helping people out for free at those internet marketing forums.

Plus, there were many times when I was reading bad internet marketing advice and didn’t even realize it, and that’s my point here; consider the source of the advice you’re receiving.

The truly successful internet marketers I know aren’t spending much time at the forums except to pre-launch a product or gather testimonials for it.  I/we/they are busy building businesses, not racking up their post counts on the forums so they’ll get pereceived credibility.

If you’re looking for internet marketing advice from true experts that are time-tested and proven, then you want to check out Easily Answered.com which has the largest group of true internet marketing experts giving advice that is real, and good.

Using Internet Marketing For Online Business development seems like a redundant term, but there’s a twist to this that many online marketers will never truly understand:

The twist is that you can use OFFline marketing and internet marketing for online business development.

What many people forget is that offline marketing is where it’s at money-wise, but a bit more complicated to implement, whereas internet marketing and online business development is pretty easy to do.

What kind of Internet Marketing Products are you looking for?

Are you looking for an internet marketing product for beginners, like an internet marketing guide? Then you want to get this one at http://yourimtoolkit.com

There are thousands of internet marketing products out there that cover a lot of the same topics but it different ways.  They call it “repackaging”; taking what is basically the same product and making it seems like new via new packaging.

You definitely do not get what you pay for with a lot of internet marketing products and I’ve found some great little gems in 5-dollar and 17-dollar ebooks whereas the higher-priced items seem to just have better sales pages, and yep…you guessed it, better packaging.

What happens to most people when they buy products to help them with internet marketing is they buy on impulse, and usually don’t buy what they need.  that’s human nature and it’s never going to change.

My advice to you is to be smart and ask yourself what it is you need right now.  Is it help with getting started and you don’t know where to start because you’re besieged with promotions for various internet marketing products via email.

List-building?  Google Adsense? Email Marketing Strategies?

If you know what it is you need, then you have 2 choices:

1- Learn what you need to know on your own, which may take longer, or even less time, who knows?

2- Find and review various internet marketing products and their owners until you find the right person to help you towards your goal, then implement solid business-building practices to achieve success with internet marketing.

The really, really hard thing to do for many people is figuring out exactly what it is they need right now and since this is sometimes hard to ascertain, they keep buying one internet marketing product after another…

By harnessing the power and uses of marketing on the internet, anyone is capable of reaching a global audience.  The economy of the world is suffering right now in 2008 and people are worried about recessions in their respective countries, but the main reason why many people really don’t have anything to fear is that the internet is giving them the ability to tap into a huge audience via global internet marketing.

Another thing that makes global internet marketing possible is that there’s language translators you can put on your site that will allow your visitors to read your website content in their native language.  All the tools you need to reach a global audience via internet marketing are readily available and usually for free.  The easily availability and access to this audience is just one of the many benefits of internet marketing especially on a global scale!

If you have an internet marketing blog like I do then you may know of a WordPress plugin called Google Translator, and it does what I desrcibed above; it translates your site content into different languages at the request of the visitors.

Quick story (with a point) – I was reading the Dining Section on the New york Times recently and I read  that  500 out-of-works cooks and chefs were looking to get on one of those cooking reality shows. The reason for that was a lot of restaurants in New York have gone belly up displacing a lot of their employees.

Cooking is a great niche to get into and I can almost guarantee you that some of these displaced Culinary Experts will be taking advantage of the Global Internet Marketing marketplace to ply their wares.  That’s what happens when there is a huge demand for income but no work” people start thinking outside the box and delve into new areas for possible income streams.

My point here, in case I’m not being clear (which makes me a lousy writer) is that the internet gives you access to a global marketplace, and there are plenty of tools to reach these audiences in a proper way.  With global internet marketing become an increasingly popular way fo rlarge companies toexpand their market share andit’s also a way fo rindivuduals to supplement or supplant their lost incomes.

One of the best Internet Marketing Benefits is the low-cost of entry, and zero requirement for an entry or foray intomarketing yourself, your comapny’s products, or other’s products via affiliate marketing on the medium we called the Internet.

The low-barrier and cost of entryto marketing on the internet  means it’s pretty cheap for a company to start developing an online presence.  The established off-line companies have a great advantage over the person who just wants to make money online because:

1.  the company already has a product of its own,
2. the company already knows exactly what it wants to do with their site,
3. the company doesn’t need to do much niche research as they’re already involved in it,
4. and the company is doing a goodj ob of pre-selling their new and existing cleints since they’re true authority figures which helps increase conversions

Some other internet marketing benefits as applied to individuals or sole properietorship-type businesses is the ability to work from home and no commute to work anymore.

Imagine that, working from home, working whenever you feel like it (but still having to produce!).  It’s a great thing to aspire to and achieve as long as your going to be successful with it.

Imagine the benefits of not having to spend an hour toget to work, then an hour back, plus spedning 9 hours at the office 8 hours of work and a one-hour lunch.  That’s 11 hours  day devoted to going to and working at the office.

There are downsides to internet marketing, don’t get me wrong.  People are so used to working on a tight schedule all hell can break loose when there’s no structure, no designated hours of work, and sometimes even little to see in the way of accomplishments in internet marketing.

But the benefits to internet marketing far outweigh the pitfalls, whether it be for a business, company, or sole proprietorship

Where Can You Go To Get Help with Internet Marketing?

There are many options you can pursue here, but what it all boils down to is what actions you end up taking.  From my experiences as a marketing coach, I notice that the more internet marketing help I give, the less people end up wanting to do themselves.

Therefore, a good internet marketing coach will let you fight your way through new obstacle, but the good
“internet marketing helper” A.K.A. a coach, will have you learning new skills that are most important for your business, and what’s different from just letting you sink or swim…

A marketing coach isn’t the only place to get Internet Marketing Help.  You can also try some internet marketing forums and ask for some free help there. 

Just realize that people trolling and haunting the forums are often trying to build themselves up as experts, or just wasting time replying to forum threads.  When I am feeling distracted and without a sens eof purpose, it’s the marketing forums that I go to for reading what people are talking about, and the next thing you know, I’ve been sucked in for an hour reading, replying, or wanting to reply to threads.

If you use marketing forums as a source for internet marketing help, just realize that the mast majority of these marketers aren’t experts, and many of them are catering to just the forum crowds, and don’t really have a clue how to market outside the forum. 

There are some good pieces of advice being given on marketing forums but they’re hardly ever being delivered by true experts.

Another source for Internet Marketing Help is the free emails newsletters that I’m sure you’re familiar with.

However, most email newsletters are just your typical off-er-after-offer-after-offer newsletters with hardly any valuable content thrown in the mix, and this is why many marketers (myself include) have to constantly bring in news newsletter readers” everyone’s beseiging them with offers and emails.If you do subscribe to an email newsletter do so with a purpose… Are you joining out of habit, or to gain a special kind of expertise that this person’s obviously has?

I can’t stand most Internet Marketing Videos because the jig is up on them!

Everyone knows that Internet Marketing Videos are great ways to convert visitors into buyers and that still remains true.

However, there are people who make videos and conduct interviews that don’t really reveal anything useful to people.

The same truth applies to tele-seminars and opportunity and training calls that the MLM and Network Marketing programs have.  If I delve into an MLM program, I create my own training videos and reports and give my team actual tools to get the job done.

But I digress…

The term internet marketing videos can mean one of two things:

1. It could mean how-to videos explaining some internet marketing concepts, but I consider it more accurate to call those internet marketing video tutorials.
2. Or it could simply mean videos about internet marketing that are more commercial in nature, true marketing videos used to marketing an internet marketing product.

Internet marketing videos that are tutorial-like are best used to explain how to use products, services, scripts and so on…

The promotional types of videos are a bit more complicated to make since you won’t convert visitors too well without displaying the URL of your website in the video itself.  when someone views an internet marketing video on YouTube, there’s no clickable links so you have to see the url to go to in the video, then after watching the video open up a new browser page and type that url in.

This leaves a bit of a disconnect here because you’re asking the visitor to take extra steps to come to your site.

However, if you can get your video ranked highly in the search engines that’s always a big boost and increase your ROI for time spent making the videos in hopes of converting those page views into sales.

Not all videos will rank well and there are some niche markets where video marketing just won’t ever convert well.  After all, who goes to YouTube to watch videos on how to cure diabetes?  That’s not a serious prospect or potential client.

So if you are considering internet marketing videos for promotional or educational purposes, you’re best off having good reasons for making them.

When most people consider internet marketing as an additional income stream or as a supplement to lose wages and loss of a job, the appeal and incone potential is definitely there.

Stop or reduce any addiction to reading emails or posting comments to blogs (except for my emails and blogs of course )

Realize when you’re being sold hyped-up products

Buy only what you need right now for your business.  Don’t be swayed by “new super-secret” tactics and strategies ebooks and marketing products.

Focus on developing your skillset as a marketer, whether it be blogging, article marketing, email marketing, webdesign, squeeze pages, sales pages, copywriting etc…

Develop a working understanding on how to use the marketing tools for your business’s development.  Without marketing tools you don’t have any real means of getting your message in front of eyeballs.

In order to be successful with internet marketing niche research is essential skills that needs to be developed also for this is where most UN successful internet marketers skip a step.

Another quality that is tied in with successful internet marketing and niche research is keyword research.  Keyword research is part of the niche research process as it helps you determine if there’s any demand for your potential niche site.

The most important aspect to successful internet marketing is understanding your target audience and selling things people want to buy.

I’ve helped many clients who built sites based on their successes with organic, natural free methods of losing weight and they’re often surprised and dismayed when their sites on these topics don’t do well monetarily.

The reason this occurs is they didn’t understand their target audience and their target audience really wants to buy quick, easy methods for losing weight, and want pills and secrets cures and pharmaceuticals, not free, organic, long-term, takes-a-lot-of-effort methods.

These are the main ingredients for successful marketing and most successful internet marketers have followed these steps

Internet Marketing Blog – A New Goal For This Internet Marketing Blog is a post from: Internet Marketing Strategies +Tips From Daniel McGonagle

Long gone are my days for setting up sites without giving much aforethought to the goals and mission when creating a new site.

My original goal for this site was to prove to myself how getting a keyword-rich domain name makes life a lot easier than trying to get ranked well for a web page that does have much in the way of SEO value.  But now I have a new goal for this site.

The new goal for this Internet Marketing Blog?

To get to page 1 of Google for the term internet marketing and at the moment I decided to write this post revealing my new goal for this site, I wasn’t anywhere near page 1 of Google… 

As a matter of fact, I got a headache searching for my site to be listed for the term internet marketing and stopped at page 75.  I felt like an idiot doing this and really should have stopped at page 20 at the most… but this internet marketing blog is definitely wayyyyyyy back in the SERPS right now for this term so it should be a fun ride.

How will I do this?

Well, by writing a lot, for starters… I’ll need a lot of unique content on this here internet marketing blog to have a robust enough site to encourage ranking well in the search engines… plus more writing and backlinking…

What will I write about?

All of the most searched-for terms related to Internet Marketing.  I will start with the top 100 terms and start witrh the easy ones first, the least-searched-for and probably least competitive terms.  As more content gets added to this site, and as more backlinks get pointed towards it, it will become a lot easier to do, and I expect to be on page 20 within a month or so.

Then what Dan?

Then I’ll promote the site and get backlinks to each and every new post that is made…  Did I say that already?  What will I DO with this site once it reaches that goal?  Sell stuff I suppose, like my SEO guide, ad space, affiliate products, maybe even adsense for a while.

Actually if Adsense gets put on this site and it’s making…say…$10.00/day in Adsense, then the whole roject can beoutsourced by hiring a writer and using a staffer to generate the backlinks.  But we have to get to that point first, right?

What keywords are you going to be targeting here Dan?

My next post will reveal all of the top searched-for terms related to inernet marketing according to Google External tool, since that’s a halfway decent place to start and I can get a Keywords list generated pretty quickly.

I joined 1waylinks to get one-way backlinks to my sites in massive quantities.

However, the time it took to generate those links was quite substantial.

I also did some thorough testing and saw that these links were very ineffective for non-competitive niche sites I have and for helping to boost my rankings for existing sites and their urls.

After seeing how ineffective these links were, I decide to write a series of post on my blog which reviews link building services.

The reason I wrote those posts was to help people realize that there are a few simple methods to practice to ascertain whether or not a link building service is actually working.

Many people don’t really have a clue on how to test a link building effectiveness and not only that, 82% of them are getting their links for all the wrong reasons (meaning they’re practicing poor on-page optimization, going “after” the wrong keywords, and their sites aren’t built for maximum SEO gain.

Not using permalink settings of %postname%.  Writing for long tail traffic:

Those two go hand in hand, sort of.

You want that permalink setting to avoid duplicate content on your site.  YES, you can have duplicate content from one one post all because of the incorrect permalink settings.

I’m not out to prove why it is a mistake to use anything but %postname% for a blog permalink setting, simply because I know it’s true.

More importantly, I want to discuss general writing habits, and mistakes I’ve made with this…

If your goal is to get ranked highly for specific terms lik eproduct reviews, then you should target that long-tail phrase, for sure….just don’t expect a boat-load of traffic from it.

However, if your goal is just to get a bunch of traffic to your sites, then use general keywords, target generla keywords, don’t chase the long tail, and in th elong run this will all add up to more traffic from all corners.

 Also, tag your posts with general and long-tail terms.

There are a lot of link building services out there, and they offer many different styles of backlinks.

But what it all comes down to is Permanent versus Temporary backlinks generation.

If you want to get some sites started quickly, or you’ve been neglecting the SEO aspects of your sites, the 3-way link building services can offer a temporary solution, but one that might be advisable.

Personally, I think it’s a big mistake to use a service that only offers temporary backlinks because you’r eonly renting links with that type of service.

In my opinion you want permanent one-way backlinks.

There’s a link building servic ein particular that does, this but it pale sin comparison to all the other, BETTER 3-way and 1-way link building services out there.

The service I’m referring to is called Google Annihilation and below is my review on it:

Google Annihilation costs $37.00/month and you can add up to 30 sites to their system.

3waylinks.net allows for up to 50 sites – cost is $47.00/month

Neurolinker the same number of sites, lower price, and has way more to offer than 3waylinks.net, but links aren’t permanent here, either.

1Waylinks.net builds permanent one-way backlinks, and up to 750 possible backlinks can be generated/month. Cost: $47.00/month

Google Annihilation might cost less than some of those other services mentioned above, but it offers far less than NeuroLinker and is more expensive.

Even though I have my own FREE 3-way linking service, I still only recommend joining link building memberships that offer permanent backlinks to your sites, like LinkVana, NextGenLinks, and 1Waylinks…

You need web hosting, possibly some audio creation software, some video creation software for promotions and video tutorials, and some other tools, too.

Some tools that bloggers need are good plugins list, readily available set of blog themes, and a good ping list.

It takes a while to learn how to use all these tools but not using any of them is a mistake.

Don’t worry if you don’t know everything about each and every recommended tool, just learn as you go, and add to your knowledge as needed.

Internet Marketing Mistake Many “IM-ers” Make is a post from: Internet Marketing Strategies +Tips From Daniel McGonagle

I was warned about this Internet Marketing Mistake…

I was told not to spend too much time doing it…

But 8 1/2 months later, I finally realized the truth as it was told to me by a marketing buddy of mine James Brown.

How it all started:

A while ago I realized I didn’t know much about SEO, blogging, link building and thought that this was unacceptable since I had to teach my Marketer’s Relief members how to get top rankings for their niche sites.

So, I went on an “SEO bender”, watched what happened to my sites, made too many changes due to being impatient with things, tried different link building services, went after different keywords etc…

Guess what? A lot of that effort wasn’t necessary!

Guess why all of that wasn’t necessary?

• Because 90% of my profits don’t come from my web sites’ ability to convert visitors into people who buy “stuff”…
• Because most of my sites catering to the IM crowd, sites like this one, convert best via email not one-time visits from an RSS reader.
• 90% of my profit comes from email marketing, which is 95% automated (follow ups do all the work, and I hardly ever send broadcasts since I am still too obsessed with SEO)

I’ve been involved in product launches and have build several sites targeting certain terms trying to corral some more signups… but hours and hours were spent to get 10-15 more signups when the best signups are the ones who trust me and joined right away.

The ones who signed up via emails I sent have been on my list for a while, so they know that I know my S**T when it comes to making money online.

Therefore, they know if I recommend something it’s worth getting or doing.

..but new site visitors don’t know that unless I come right out and tell them that.

I might be a marketer, and I might be someone who has to prove authority in order to be believed in this niche, but I’m still too modest to build websites that show me bragging… it’s just not my style.

Anyways, at the end of the day my best performing site in the SERPs for terms related to that launch is the site that I’ve blogged to continually for the last 8 months, not the new site I built.

Also, at the end of the day, 80% of my signups came from emails I sent, which took me about 30 minutes to send…

On the downside, it took me hours and hours to set up multiple new sites just to get a smattering of new signups from all that effort.

I was told that the IM niche of marketing to other marketers is one of the few niches that is unique in that organic rankings and top SERPs doesn’t really align itself with your income.

In other words, top rankings for certain terms doesn’t mean you’re a top earner.  Some long time old school gurus are piss-poor bloggers and SEO guys…

But the one thing that always holds true when it comes to the internet marketing niche it’s that your list size is usually commensurate with your income.

With the “IM” niche, it’s really all about email marketing, therefore list building is more important than link-building if you’re an “IM-er”.

Right now, I am actually trying to wean myself off from blogging even as I keep adding new sites to my portfolio, go figure…

My goal is to capitalize on all the SEO work I’ve done in the last 8 1/2 month by adding some list building tactics to glom of those high rankings…

My goal is to increase my list size by 4 X what it is now to 24,000 subscribers.

Now, speaking like a typical addict, let me try to explain my obsession and why my mistake isn’t really a mistake:

All the SEO-based efforts I expended weren”t really for nothing since link building and SEO and lead up to semi-permanent feelers out there on the internet that can possibly bring in prospects, sales and traffic for a long time to come whereas list building is something you have to constantly do, since list sizes go down with every email sent.

Web sites well positioned in the search engines will always bring in new prospects for you, and hopefully sales… If your positioning in the search engines slip a bit, you just get more links to maintain that.  Maybe that’s what I liked so much about doing SEO and link building, it was the act of building a super-solid long term foundation for bringing prospects into my business.

I haven’t focused on building a list in over 2 years and I’ve learned some hard lessons along the way…

Typical stubborn Irish hothead who has ot learn everything the hard way…

Post-Pre-Launch Web Prosperity Review – A Review of Web Prosperity After the Pre-Launch

This Web Prosperity review will cover the tools being offered, the way the company is handling itself, and some changes they’ve made since the launch.

Most people who wrote a review about this program did so prior to its launch, but a further, more in-depth review is needed now that it has launched and access to the back office, personal site, and the tools has been granted to paid members.

Review Of The Tools

There are 2 tools I am mainly concerned with here since they’re both tools I use every day, Web Prosperity Contact autoresponder and the Web Prosperity Media audio and video creation center .

Web Prosperity Contact autoresponder review-

WP Contact is the autoresponder you get with your membership/position and it is being run on software by Implix, the people who brought us the GetResponse autoresponder.

You only get 1 autoresponder campaign when you join at their lower level. This one campaign can only be used for promoting the program itself, so it’s not like a real autoresponder.

Having an autoresponder with just one campaign is pretty much the same thing you’d get with each and every other MLM program’s built-in autoresponder, nothing more.

However, if you do upgrade to the higher membership level, then you get a “real” autoresponder, but one that is limited to 10 campaigns. 10 campaigns is more than enough for most people.

If you see anyone complaining that they need more than 10 campaigns and that’s why they’re not joining Web Prosperity, ask them why they’re not making any money online. Look, if you need more than 10 campaigns going like I do, then you are making money online, and enough of it to not be deterred by a limitation of 10 campaigns.

The people who say that 10 campaigns does not constitute a real autoresponder are correct in a way, Most autoresponder companies offer unlimited campaigns. What those naysayers forget is that many people won’t need or want to need more than 1 campaign.

I used WP Contact and it works fine, in fact it’s easier to use than Get Response’s interface..

WP Media review-

Well, this review is going to be short and sweet since I haven’t used it but one of my team members has. He said he didn’t expect much from the audio creation software but came away pretty impressed with how easy it was to use and how good the audios came out.

Neither of us has used the video creation software, but the general consensus is that the video quality is “OK” not superb, not shoddy, but definitely acceptable. So the video creation software does the job, apparently.

The following paragraph is a review on how Web Prosperity is handling itself -

Their blog is their main point of contact for communicating with the members new and old. I find it weird that they couldn’t use a better blog theme for their main communications point with their members. With all the software they’re running and offering, you’d think a better blog theme would be utilized.

But that’s nit-picking, so let’s move on…

There was a little bit of an uproar when people found out about the limitations of the autoresponder, WP Contact. They listened and responded by lifting the restrictions and more campaigns were added for the higher level members.

This is good business, in my opinion. You listen to your customers but you don’t let them run the show, either.

The company has training calls scheduled, just like any other MLM program, but they’ve outdone themselves with the video promotions. The videos are well made and presented, and very useful in converting visitors into paid members.

Review of the Web Prosperity personal site:

The personal site is the site you send your referrals to and it’s pretty plain, but effective I think. The back office is pretty easy to understand after you spend a few minutes clicking around, and it’s super-easy to send an email, too.

So far, so good with the tools and back office. I looked for things to complain about to give a candid Web Prosperity review and didn’t see too much to complain about…

I understand most of you might say it is a slow process and can get results only after many weeks. However I would like to say to my dear friends that patience holds the key to make any business successful. It might be boring to submit articles day in and out to Article Directories. However, if youre looking for rapid sales of your products or services its high time to start submitting your articles to article directories.

Easy Mantra to Success

If you make an effort to write an article and then submit to multiple article directories every week you can surely see results. I would recommend writing at least one article and submitting to at least 500 high quality article directories every week.

Step by Step Article Submission Guide

Every week you can select one keyword you would like to gain visitors from. Your next step will be to write an effective article compromising of your primary and secondary keywords. Footprints In Cyberspace – Are You Following Bad Advice From False Gurus?

This article is about Internet Marketing with a consience, and I have some advice for you that you will either completely agree with, or you may call me a “goodie two shoe” marketer”, whatever that is…

One of my favorite sayings is: “Be wary of giving advice, wise men don’t need it, and fools won’t heed it”. Obviously I must be a fool, because I try to advise people in the hopes of breaking through some mental barriers and changing a life. However, this article is meant to inspire you to greater heights with your business using some of the sagest advice I’ve ever heard.

There is a wealth of knowledge to be gleaned from the religious texts of this world. There is one story (parable) that strikes me as relevant to the philosophy of marketing with integrity and that is the story of the Footprints in the Sand. I will paraphrase the story to avoid mis-statements and will strive to keep the general message clear.

In the parable of Footprints in the Sand a person sees his life as footprints in the sand. When times were good, and thing were going well, there were 2 sets of footprints. One was the man’s footprints, and the other was his Ally (again, paraphrasing here). At times there was only 1 set of footprints in the sand, and this represents the tough times in the man’s life when he experienced strife and pain. The man said to his Ally, “Why is it that when times went bad for me there was only 1 set of footprints in the sand? Why did you abandon me when things were going poorly? I thought you were my Ally!” His Ally responded, “it was during those times of your greatest need and your greatest pain that I carried you…that’s why there is only 1 set of footprints in the sand”.

When times are tough, it seems like your friends disappear and your calls don’t get answered. When times are tough it seems like you are all alone and with nobody to lean on for support. When you’re slugging it out in the trenches trying to find what works for your business and your family members are telling you to stop wasting your time with internet marketing, you are not alone! It’s times like this when you know who your real friends are and that your greatest Ally has never left you, ever.

What can your greatest Ally be with regards to doing business online? Integrity can be your closest Ally, if you follow this way of thinking. Integrity begets self-esteem and these 2 Allies (integriy and self-esteem) will be there with you and for you through the toughest of times, even when everyone and every thing seems to have abandoned you.

Now, this article is about marketing with integirty, which makes me want to dispel a few myths that are widely propagating my internet marketing gurus. Have you ever heard the old marketing adage “Fake It ’til You Make It”? It’s probably one of the worst pieces of marketing advice I have ever heard.That’s the advice many gurus and coaches are giving their close friends who start Internet marketing. They tell their underlings or mentoring students you must position yourself as an expert in order to be looked up to as a knowledgeable person in the field of XYZ, whatever it is they’re selling.

This makes sense on the outset, because the “newbies” look up to the gurus. The weak admire the strong. The unhappy see the happy folks as having the “secret” The dumb kids in class think the smart kids know everything about everything. People look to the alleged experts for advice, but are they getting expert advice? Here’s a common example of something that happens every day:

People join network marketing companies for opportunities thinly disguised as products for sale. The typical scenario with most network marketing companies, especially the wealth and health-related ones, is that they say, “we have great products here that really work….but you could attain health and wealth if you promote the opportunity, too”. That is rubbish! Try the products and see if they work to achieve integrity with your marketing. Don’t sell the dream, sell the reality (albeit with an emphasis on WIIFM, what’s in it for me).

Before promoting a product, find out if they work for you. Did they actually help you? If so, enjoy marketing that opportunity with integrity. Your enthusiasm will shine through and your optimism will increase your sales. You will become an Internet marketing success simply by having some integrity. However, if you “Fake It ’til You Make it”, then you’re following what everyone else does. You are a false prophet, guru, marketer, or whatever you want to call yourself. If you follow this bad advice, you join the incestuous world of the blind leading the blind.

I also predict that you will end up a very dissatisfied person and marketer, if you follow this way of thinking. Will you really enjoy the type of success that comes with selling the un-reviewed and untested product/dream? I guess you could if you’re at rationalizing your behavior. Just remember that karma is going to take a big bite out of your rear end if you follow this no-integrity marketing philosophy.

Do you have integrity?

• You will become a larger person in a spiritual sense if you do…
• You will become more successful if you do
• You will separate yourself from other businesses if you do.

Do not “Fake It ’til You Make It”… and do not take this piece of advice. There’s no integrity in it.

This brings me to the next piece of “conventional wisdom that rubs me raw, gets under my skin, is false, yet is widely propagated by gurus and marketers everywhere. The next cliché/fallacy is “content in King”. Content is merely words on paper, recorded voices, and bits and byes on web pages. Good content is King, Queen, Empress, Emperor, Tsar, Tsarina etc…. Good Content comes from Good Sources. Good Sources are borne via their single set of Footprints in the Sand. The trials these Good Sources go through to attain their expertise forge their integrity. This makes them true experts, and makes them believable. Their words have power because they come from a good source.

Have you ever heard the expression, “consider the source”? This is usually said about someone that cannot back up what they say, and whatever they write, or speak, it’s taken with “a grain of salt”. Like we examined in the first example above of “Faking It ’til You Make It”, this type of person is not believable because they cannot attest to the truthfulness of the statement they put forth. They haven’t lived it, breathed, or experienced it. They’re faking it by telling you what they think you want to hear.. Good Sources create Good Content which leads to good income!

Here’s an example of how good content is always the winner. There are people making 6-figure incomes from blogs simply by reviewing products they tested and wrote reviews for on their blog. They are experts at what they do, they’re considered authority figures in that niche, and they worked hard to get there. However, if they write a favorable review just to get some sort of kickback or affiliate commissions, they won’t see too many repeat customers or get repeat traffic to their blogs.

They will have burned their bridges and they “sold their soul for a donut hole” if they make an unreviewed recommendation for the sole purpose of profit. They risked their reputation by writing about something about which they knew nothing or they gave a favorable review for something just for some quick bucks. What they lost was everything, expert status, repeat customers, respect, and yes, integrity. What they gained was a donut hole. Nothing.

Good content in king and it comes from good sources who spent years attaining their expert status. I want you to be a leader some day and you can do this if you make you are willing to see a single set of footprints once in a while. If you want to play follow the leader temporarily that’s OK, too. Just follow the right leader, i.e. a Good Source

Which brings me to the next piece of advice from gurus that gets under my skin, which is: “If you do exactly as I tell you, you are guaranteed to succeed” That is so not true! Yes, there are certain basic fundamentals that everyone needs to succeed in life and business but anyone can tell you these basic steps. This type of information is freely available on the Internet and is valuable if coming from a good source. However, the one thing I have experienced is that many mentors and gurus will tell you to follow their footprints to success and do what they did to succeed. This doesn’t work because you need to make your own Footprints in the Sand and you need to develop as a person.

I’ve been through 2 paid-for coaches and 1 coach who gave advice freely. This is my experience with this, and there’s no greater teacher than experience. The more I paid these coaches, the better the advice was. However, everything of value that I learned came during the times when there was only a single set of Footprints in the Sand. Late nights slaving away at web pages, web sites, writing articles, content creation, Help Desk tickets etc… Those are the times when I learned something nobody could take away from me. I learned from expereince what my true strengths were, and what it was that I really wanted to do. Looking back at those miserable times of frustration and failure, I can see their worth.

The intestinal fortitude required to get through those times was created with a single set of footprints in CyberSpace. The lasting effect these times had on me resulted in footprints in cement that molded me into what I am today. Today, I consider myself a Peaceful Warrior who knows that the real battles are fought on the inside. There was a book given to me called The Way Of The Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman. He emphasizes this point and many others. Here is another example of where his true wisdom shines: When he talks about a healthy diet, he doesn’t say, “be a vegetarian” or “don’t eat this, that or the other thing”. He admits that even he doesn’t know your body like you do, therefore all he can advise is a healthy balanced diet and some daily exercise.

Only you know what will work for you, and the wise ones know this and will tell you this. That’s why when you hear a guru or coach say, “Follow my cut-and-paste blueprint for Internet riches” you must be wary of the product or program. You have to make your own success happen, nobody can do it for you and it won’t work if it doesn’t align properly with your likes, dislikes and talents. Your battle is not a lack of knowledge nor a lack of tools. Your battle is within and only you can find your way out of the swimming pool that represents “everybody else”. To break way from the pack, to become hugely and truly successful, you need to walk “alone” for a while, and a good coach can be your Ally here, if you choose wisely.

Here is another example of why you should not follow a strictly defined avenue to success. Have you ever heard of Bruce Lee? He’s one of the most advanced martial artists of all time. Many of his teachings are still ahead of our time and one thing he is credited with inventing is a martial art called Jeet KuneDo. Loosely translated, Jeet Kune Do means “the way of no way”. This became a hugely popular “art form” and people were successful with it even though it defied some long standing philosophies taught by other martial arts schools. But it works well for those who try it because it plays to their strengths. This martial art is no better than any other. Other art forms may be exactly what people are seeking or other art forms could emphasize certain aspects that practitioners can “dial into”.

“Follow me and do exactly as I say to succeed” doesn’t work well unless you’re exactly like the mentor teaching you, an extreme rarity in this world filled with 100% unique people, talents, and strengths. Your single set of Footprints in Cyberspace is the Way of No Way, the True Path to Your Success. “Do whatever gets the job done and gets you from point A to point B.” That is the way of the Dan McGonagle and it can be your way, too.

Here’s another popular saying that I have to disagree with: “You will become poor as a marketer teaching people how to fish. Sell the fish” To me, that equates to selling incomplete solutions to people. This means offering something that doesn’t really address the need but simply emphasizes the need for yet another product. There are a lot of marketers doing this because this is what sells. Aspiring marketers give people what they want and what they seem to want the most. This is justified by some when they say: “Hey, it sells, I’m just giving them what they obviously want. If I don’t sell it to them they’ll buy it form somebody else…”

How is this different from the rationale employed by drug dealers? Don’t they use the same rationale? Don’t they sell whatever seems to sell well without regard for their customers? I am pretty confident in saying those people don’t lead normal peaceful lives. I am pretty confident in saying they only enjoy momentary happiness with their proceeds. I am also pretty confident that their businesses are not built for the long haul.

It’s considered good marketing to “upsell” and “side sell” people and I realize that, and I do it. There isn’t one product that you’re going to find that will address all of your needs right away. However, the real goal here is to have your product benefit your customer in some way, and for the product to deliver as promised, and to live up to the words on the sales page.

Here’s another way to become successful as an Internet marketer and how to become a true expert. This is so simple yet many people don’t do it because it seems like work. If you follow this integrity-laced marketing method, you will succeed in ways you never imagined. What’s the method? Simple.. Try the product before you recommend it. How many marketers actually experimented with the products they’re touting in these massive product launches you see every so often? Every time that I bought a product that was highly touted by gurus in some product launch, I bought from them based on their reputation.

If the product was a piece of junk I voted my disapproval with my unsubscribe button. Being the type of person that I am, I wait for the hype to subside before I recommend, or don’t recommend a product to my readers. I’m busy implementing the strategies outlined in these products and am actually reviewing these products before I make a decision on it. There’s a danger to doing this though… When the hype subsides and the fever pitch is gone, you stand less of a chance to make sales because the best time to “make sales” is during the product launch. If you end up recommending the product after testing it first, your conversion rate will be less. You also risk the chance of seeming like a Johnny-come-lately who isn’t “with it”. In the long run, you gain from this by building a relationship with your list based on trust.

For example, there was a product launch recently for an Adwords product that really was very good. I was lucky to get an advance copy of the report and suggested some changes to be made to it since it was missing a few key elements. Product owners don’t like to hear that their products are lacking in any way therefore they didn’ t make the changes. So I made up for what I considered the missing information in that report by writing a 2 page report filled with tips on Adwords and pay-per-click marketing. I didn’t make a ton of sales for this product but I also felt happy with what I did.

What is going to last longer for you, money or satisfaction with yourself? If you answer correctly, you will have a constant ally in any tough times you face, and eventually you will have what most marketers desire: a following. Money comes and goes quickly, but satisfaction with self lasts forever. Moving forward, I now have the basis for my own product on Adwords. Right now it’s only 2 pages long, but as I gain new experiences my knowledge increases and soon I will have the basis for a complete solution that I can put out there in my name as a true expert, with no stones left unturned.

There are too many people faking it, and too many marketers selling what they don’t understand. Market with pride and integrity and you will always have an ally. Footsteps in Cyberspace isn’t all about integrity or getting through hard times due to poor sales or a lack of progress. It is really the way business should be conducted everywhere. The longer you practice “integrity marketing” the more knowledgeable you become. The more knowledgeable you become, the closer you come to being an Expert. The closer you come to being an Expert, the closer to a real Guru you become. When you are a true guru at something, you will realize that the path to your success was paved by your footprints, but you were never alone, not ever.

Remember what integrity marketing and Footprints in Cyberspace is all about and remember that adhering to these principles will get you to the top. You will deserve every ounce of your success if this is the path you chose.

Here’s another cliché that I’m about to destroy: Good Guys Finish Last… Not TRUE. Good Guys And Gals Finish First Every Time. Here’s why: Have you ever heard of the 80/20 principles that 20% of your efforts will bring 80% of your income? Let’s put this into real world perspective, into words marketers understand: You’ll make 80% of your income from 20% of your list, 20% of your marketing efforts, 20% of your websites, 20% of your web pages, products etc..

How do you get more of the 20% accomplished, what is the 20% and where does it come from? It comes from being real with people, form being nice to people, and from establishing a real connection with people. Can this be accomplished by creating really good products? Yes, but how many people do you know that have unread or unopened digital products on their computers?

How many marketers have received the following email: “Hi, I’m really interested in buying your product, will it really help me? I’m on a fixed income and have been trying for 2 years without much success. What do I do and where do I start?” Etc…. Once in a while it pays to send this person a freebie, a free product. Seriously, it costs you nothing to email them a complementary product, right? Does this mean you give away all your products? No, that would be stupid and not everyone appreciates free stuff, because they abide by the old adage that “you get what you pay for”.

Give away an occasional free copy of one of your products to gain good faith. Every once in a great while this type of person turns into a raving fan and becomes one of your 20%. Stupid idiot moron marketers finish last, not Good guys and gals. Another way to get more connected with your readers and listener sis to encourage participation, via surveys, teleseminars, webinars, whatever you want to call them. You can also personalize your message to them. Use the word “you” a lot. Use it without actually saying it. Make the reader or listener feel like you are actually talking to them.

Which sentence works for you best? “Hey anonymous group of people I sell stuff to, buy this” or “Hello Daniel, How are things going? We got buried with snow this weekend up here in Boston and my back is hurting for certain. Anyways, Daniel there is a new report out about XYX by PERSON’S NAME that is pretty good. I recommend you take a look at it if you need to get traffic to your sites quickly and easily. Daniel, if you live in a warm climate, please keep me in your thoughts and have a nice cold drink for me. We’re about to get 8 more inches tomorrow. That’s how you get your 20%,and that’s how Good Guys and Gals Finish First. Please remember though that if your product is under 9 dollars and people are stressing out about that, then they are probably never going to succeed. There is a whole heck of a lot more money that they’re gonna have to spend and a lot more “frogs to kiss” before they “get it”. That’s if they ever get “it”…

Here the last piece of widespread advice that is commonly propagated: “Shoot for the stars, aim high” OK, Mr. Guru, I’m going to aim high like you said. Now me, a person with little or no business skills, is going to aim high and shoot for the stars.. Ready? I’m gonna make $50k/month in 3 weeks by making money online. That’s right, me. I have little or no business skills, have never run a business before, don’t even know what a business is, but I’m gonna do it because you tell me it can be done if I just aim high enough…”

Shoot for the stars? Aim high? Are you kidding me? Show me someone who has achieved this gargantuan success with little or no developed business skills and I’ll eat every bit and byte of this article…. Aim high? No Set realistic goals? YES You see, this is the setup that they’re framing you for. If these legends of marketing tell you its possible, and it doesn’t happen for you like they described, it must be your fault, right? After all it worked for them, was easy for them, and seems like it was effortless for them to produce these results, if these results actually occurred for them. Maybe you need another product that will do it for you then.

That’s the hook. They tell you anything is possible and quickly if you only aim high enough, and if you believe this tripe, then their next sales page will convert better for them. Here’s what you’re not being told (by the way you’ll realize this on your way OUT of the swimming pool, but not while you’re in it swimming around aimlessly): Their results are based on Having huge lists, cultivating their lists, possessing good business skills, writing a good email to that list and having great copy on their sales pages or web sites.

How do you get the success the obviously enjoy or purport to enjoy? Let’s break it down one by one: Huge lists are built up over time Cultivating their lists means there is a relationship they nurtured over time Writing a good email to that list is a skill obtained over time. Having great copy on their sales pages or web sites is also skill obtained or purchased. Don’t shoot for the stars. Instead, set realistic goals and achieve them. Do this enough times and you will have achieved a larger goal with even noticing it.

One saying that many good coaches have is that you should treat big success like “eating an elephant”, And how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time, not all at once. Sound ridiculous, but there’s wisdom in those words. I know, I’ve been there. Here’s my evolution as a newbie who turned into a true entrepreneur. As a newbie, I was lucky to have one “failed” offline business under my belt. That was my high school diploma for business in the real world. I made my first few dollars online somehow, through trial and error and perseverance through about 20 different programs (single sets of footprints in Cyberpsace).

I earned more money, but got stuck trying to see which business model works best for me, which required more trial and error (single sets of footprints in Cyberpsace) After that I became an intermediate marketer making a full time income online but with no idea how to make more of this “success”. At this point I considered myself an intermediate marketer and got some coaching but these coaches taught their styles and blueprints. At this point I learned that I have to do what works for me, and its not anything those mentors were doing.

Now, as an advanced marketer I have discovered the secret to 7-figure annual and 5-6 figure monthly income and am pursuing that ideal. Hmm, funny how the end goal was to get to a 7-figure annual salary but I didn’t get there until I set, met and achieved realistic goals. I am so glad I set realistic goals and took bite size chunks of reality!

Here’s another real-world example that I would like to share: I ran 2 consecutive Boston Marathons. Well actually it was more like I ran/walked them. Your path to success is very much like a marathon. It is a journey, not a race. When I got the idea into my head to run a marathon, I had little experience running long distance. The longest distance I had ever run was 5 miles, and I got up to 12 miles before I ran my first marathon with my friend Chris. I ran/walked my way to the finish line in under 5 hours, not bad for a first timer. When I got to the finish line, I was prouder of myself than I had ever been in my life. I reached my goal, but the arrival at the finish line wasn’t my reward.

My reward was the journey and what it taught me about myself. I learned a little bit more about myself every time I went from walking to running again. My reward was the “measure of the man” that was taken during those grueling hours on the road. There is no greater reward than gaining a true sense of yourself during the trying times. Your reward is waiting for you in the single set of footprints Your reward will be life-changing, like mine was for me. Your success lies in the single set of Footprints in Cyberspace.

When I ran the Boston Marathon, I did it to raise money for charity. I raised over $500.00 and had the support of my family, friends, and co-workers. However, during the long 26.2 miles that I endured, that support was meaningless to me. I could not count on their support to urge me forward, or to get moving again. There was only a single set of footprints then, and it was only due to my Ally that I got through the race. The euphoria of finishing my second marathon didn’t last as long as the first, but to this day, the experience has changed me forever.

Now, there are some warnings I would like to give you here. Running extensive miles on a body that is not used to running those types of distances will do damage to your body. I wasn’t really prepared to run this race, and my knees suffered some permanent damage from asking too much of them in a short time frame. I don’t mind though, because every time my knees act up I’m reminded of why they are so rickety, and how they got to be in such bad shape.

Another one of my favorite sayings is: “The unexamined life is not worth living.” It’s during the times of the single sets of footprints that we examine who we are as people and what we’re really made of. There’s no passing or failing grade here, you simply take measure of who you are. Set realistic goals and achieve them, then move on. Running 2 marathons with little experience wasn’t very realistic, but the little experience I had helped me to the finish line. Since I tried to do too much with a body that wasn’t prepared for it, my knees suffered, but I managed to finish the race, and you get to your finish line if you set realistic goals.

I’m from the Boston, Massachusetts area and we had something going on called the Big Dig, a multi-billion dollar construction project that was the first of its kind to have ever been done. There was a sign that greeted the passersby where they were most likely to see it and it read: “Rome wasn’t built in a day. If it was, we would have hired their contractor”. Your online empire will not be created overnight, but it will be created, have no doubts about that. I would not have been able to write to you about my experiences and my reality had I not taken my own Footprints In Cyberspace.
