Using the Google External Keyword Tool For SEO Purposes Is A Mistake

As you may know by know, Google has a Keyword research tool that you can use…

Too bad it is not very useful for SEO purposes, though.

Google External KW tool is really only good for measuring the expected amount of PPC traffic you could get for certain terms.

This includes getting clicks on your ads if they’re being presented on parked domains…

I’m not backing this up with a ton of research and snapshots to prove my point here, just cataloging another mistake made…

Wanna see proof?

Go to Google’s External KW tool, find a term that gets a lot of traffic, get a domain name that has the main KW in it available as a .com domain name, get some links to it…then once you reach the #1 spot….let me know if you got traffic more in tune with what Google External KW tool would say you’re supposed to get or SEOBOOK KW Tool search volume…
