I can’t stand most Internet Marketing Videos because the jig is up on them!
Everyone knows that Internet Marketing Videos are great ways to convert visitors into buyers and that still remains true.
However, there are people who make videos and conduct interviews that don’t really reveal anything useful to people.
The same truth applies to tele-seminars and opportunity and training calls that the MLM and Network Marketing programs have. If I delve into an MLM program, I create my own training videos and reports and give my team actual tools to get the job done.
But I digress…
The term internet marketing videos can mean one of two things:
- It could mean how-to videos explaining some internet marketing concepts, but I consider it more accurate to call those internet marketing video tutorials.
- Or it could simply mean videos about internet marketing that are more commercial in nature, true marketing videos used to marketing an internet marketing product.
Internet marketing videos that are tutorial-like are best used to explain how to use products, services, scripts and so on…
The promotional types of videos are a bit more complicated to make since you won’t convert visitors too well without displaying the URL of your website in the video itself. when someone views an internet marketing video on YouTube, there’s no clickable links so you have to see the url to go to in the video, then after watching the video open up a new browser page and type that url in.
This leaves a bit of a disconnect here because you’re asking the visitor to take extra steps to come to your site.
However, if you can get your video ranked highly in the search engines that’s always a big boost and increase your ROI for time spent making the videos in hopes of converting those page views into sales.
Not all videos will rank well and there are some niche markets where video marketing just won’t ever convert well. After all, who goes to YouTube to watch videos on how to cure diabetes? That’s not a serious prospect or potential client.
So if you are considering internet marketing videos for promotional or educational purposes, you’re best off having good reasons for making them.
